The System Is Rigged in Venezuela

Since opposition leaders, Leopoldo Lopez, and Venezuelan students went on a hunger strike "demanding" the regime to choose a date for the National Assembly "elections" (we now have one, Dec. 6; and they stopped the strike) I have been wanting to write about how that works in a fascist/totalitarian (yes I know . . . Venezuela has many adjectives . . .) regime.

How can some still believe that the way out of this is through a democratic solution like voting? We don't have a president because he wasn't born in Venezuela. Besides not winning in the past "elections," that there's no division of power, they control everything; that the Castros invaded and rule; that they have cheated in the majority of elections, be it giving passports to Cubans, Colombians, Iranians, etc.; multiple IDs to one person; dead people voting, and the voting machines fixed.

Democracy died with Chavez 17 years ago; he is to blame for it all.

I wanted to write about elections in Venezuela, where most members of the MUD Party (opposition party, although they say they are not a party) are in bed with the regime, knowingly doing the country wrong by lying.

But no, I want to write about what goes on with the opposition (divided into those who sold themselves to the regime and the honest ones; believe in elections) and the resistance (don't believe in regime, opposition nor elections). About the wrong interpretations, confusion, egos, make up stories that surround us. In the social media.

You see, the situation in Venezuela is very complex. Over there you get punished for following the law and praised if you are bad. Chavez armed thousands of thugs, who, protected by the National Guards, attack people. And the MUD plays games.

At hand with the regime, who need "elections" for their propaganda to work, they assure you that that's the only way out when all it does is lead the world to believe that Venezuela is a democratic country because oppositors also "win" (with no power afterwards) legitimating the regime.

The honest oppositions clash, or crash with each other. We all want the same, the Venezuela we had, a better one, but how to get there is a different story, as we believe in different paths. Some know how to handle it; others, because of their ego, misunderstandings, jealousy, power or future interests, make up stories that are far away from the truth.

Calling each other "infiltrators" if not agreeing with their proposal, spies from the Cuban G2; bombing Twitter with false accusations because many are paranoid, as they should be, that there is a spy among the groups, and there have been.

There are mild and heavy discussions in chats, as well as respect, but the opposition is very much divided, and as long as we continue believing their propaganda, that of the regime and MUD, communism will stay, and it will expand; Venezuela will have, as long as Castro wants, a Colombian president as his puppet.

Unless they have a plan (regime and MUD), allowing an opposition candidate to win the presidency. But of course, any plan must include Cuba in charge, behind closed doors.

One of the reasons why I don't believe in most of the politicians from the "opposition" is, if there's proof that your president was not born in Venezuela, why don't you concentrate on demanding the birth certificate and/or "kick" all of those Castrochavistas out? They have not respected the Constitution that says you cannot be president with double nationality.

But no, they call for elections because they live well, travel, are protected, and couldn't care much about the pain of others.

If I could go back to Venezuela, I would organize citizens in every state on election day and tell them not to vote. I would direct them to stay in one place — for days if necessary — to show the world how many people don't believe in the elections, to show that the majority of the country is against this abusive regime. Together we would show how the regime has cheated the elections with dead people voting, multiple votes for one person, and people voting with fake IDs.

We would show that we don't believe in elections until we see Nicolas' birth certificate, the Castro/Chavistas/Maduristas gone, until there are no political prisoners, no more media censorship, power is not concentrated in just one hand, and that peaceful protests are not criminalized. But I can't go back . . .

Do you really think that, through democracy, they are going to step down from their throne? That the USA is going to go in and arrest the drug lords, killers, and terrorists?

I don't.

You see, life is good being a socialist in the 21st century.

Sheer Folly to Cozy Up to Castro Regime

Four-and-a-half years after I was born in Cuba, my family ran from Fidel Castro's communism, and we fled to Caracas, Venezuela, to live the rest of our lives in freedom, or so my parents thought.

I grew up learning how a communist (they were only called that back then, now they're socialists of the 21st century) thought. During the first five or six years of our arrival, meetings took place at my home; the men worked on plans to invade Cuba, and their spouses sewed their clothes; I don't know why that never came through, something to do with the "money people" that backed out. But I learned.

Let me tell you that in Latin America, socialism equals communism. I know — not so in the United States and less so in Europe, but that's what it means for us.

One of Fidel's mission in life that has continued with Raul, has been to destroy the United States; not necessarily by killing people, unless necessary. To do so, first he had to own Venezuela. The same with Colombia. He also had to have a "great" friendship with the rest of Latin America, which he does.

In 1967 Fidel failed a coup d'etat with then Venezuela's President Raul Leoni; years later, without a single bullet and with the help of Hugo Chavez (whom in 1992 he also tried a coup with Carlos Andres Perez and was put in jail for about two years), Venezuela was under Cuba's control. And now, most of Latin America has become socialist. Have you noticed?

Latin America's socialism is not about helping people achieve their dreams. Nor is it about giving them free medical care, food, and education, though that's what they sell with their propaganda. Socialism in Latin America is about control, making the poor poorer.

They steal from the rich and keep it for themselves. In doing so, they destroy the middle class, closing and expropriating businesses, factories, newspapers, radio and TV stations along the way.

Anyone who gets in their way is jailed or threatened (if they're lucky). Others are tortured and killed. Here, you can be killed for speaking out and thinking differently. It's Cuba's model for Venezuela.

There is no future for its people; there's no respect. What is there? Only lack of medicine, food, basic necessities, and freedom of speech.

Of course, with this model there is a lot of crime. Here, the United States, the "Empire," as it's called by the Venezuelan regime, is the capitalist enemy.

Many of Latin America's head of states are extremely rich leftists who hate capitalism (to be rich is bad! they say . . .) but the truth is, they are fascists/dictators who live like kings.

The way to get them out of the way is not through "elections."

In this video, Chavez, as presidential candidate, said he was not a socialist.

The "sheep" who really is a wolf turns into a dictator controlling every single move in the country. The king will never step down from his throne through elections now — there's too much to lose, too much at stake. Besides, only jail awaits.

Cuba just had elections. That there were two opposition candidates who stepped down because they were very far behind.

Ha! No one dares to run for president on the island. People don't vote, and if they did, who says who "won"? You think Raul Castro is going to step down and pass it all to a democratic successor? Freedom after almost 60 years? Ask those who are not afraid to talk, and you will find the answer.

Some people laugh when I tell them this. "Oh no, that will never happen to us! We are too powerful," they say, more or less same thing as other countries have said. Well, it's called propaganda, indoctrination; they're good at it, and it's happening now.

Communists, or socialists of the 21st century are very smart, charismatic actors. They are amazing liars. And, believe it or not, there are many already doing their job in the land of the free. With recent U.S.-Cuba ties, Fidel must be very happy.

Maria Conchita Alonso: Maduro a 'Disaster' for Venezuela

Venezuelan-raised actress Maria Conchita Alonso says her country is an economic disaster under President Nicolas Maduro, who she thinks may not even have the authority to run the country.

"Can you imagine? People can't find toilet paper. And they can't find paper also to write . . . newspapers, magazines, whatever," Alonso told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

She says Maduro has not proven he was even born in Venezuela, a requirement for the nation's commander-in-chief.

"Everybody thinks he's born in Colombia. But even if he would have been born in Colombia, he has double nationality," she said.

"In Venezuela, you can't be president with double nationalities. So, he's illegal, but now he has all the power."

Her comments came as Maduro, in an ongoing effort to regulate prices and profit margins, had the military seize three electronics store chains.

Alonso, whose films include "The Lords of Salem" and "Dark Moon Rising," thinks Venezuela, in reality, is under the control of Cuban President Raul Castro, and warns the United States not to establish relations with Cuba.

"It's a completely huge mistake because Cuba is not a democratic island. Cuba has broken the human rights. There are all of these people that are political prisoners over there just because they're against the regime," Alonso said.

"If I was [President Barack] Obama, I would say, first, let all those political prisoners out and allow the elections."

No saben la decepción, tristeza, arrechera, indignación impotencia tan grande que siento hoy por el poco amor y pocas bolas que tienen la mayoría en Vzla cuando toca salir a defender (y aquí hemos dicho que pacíficamente) por el presente y futuro del país.

Militares NO vendidos me han dicho, el pueblo sale, nosotros los respaldamos (no son los de la guardia nacional bolivariana).

Ayer muchos de la MUD (entre ellos Leopoldo) pidió que no apoyaran el Día de Furia, deben de estar muy contentos hoy.
Porque solo salen cuando llama Henrique? Acaso el es el único que se "preocupa" por Vzla? Habemos muchos que nos preocupamos mas ya que no lo estamos haciendo para conseguir votos, sino porque de verdad la situación nos "enferma" (aunque estemos fuera) y queremos acabar con los rojos ya.

Llevan 15 años adoctrinando niños, 15 años burlándose de la sociedad civil, mintiendo, destruyendo. Lo estamos viendo, y Uds. viviendo, y no hacen nada? Hay escasez de todo! Comida, medicinas, hasta papel toilet! Por Dios, como pueden creer que vamos a salir de esto por medio de elecciones! Como nuestros "lideres" piden que vayan a votar CUANDO ELLOS MISMOS SABEN que no vamos a sacar a los rojos por medio de votos? Como Henrique pide a una concentración, cuando muchos pensaron que iba a hablar d algo serio, y lo que hizo fue pedir ir a votar y a bailar?!!! Alguien me puede decir que estamos celebrando? Sera que porque no esté allá no me de cuenta de la fiesta? No lo creo, no hace falta estar allá para sentir lo que la mayoría de los venezolanos sienten. Entonces, porque no hacen algo! Porque solo salen cuando lo pide "lideres" de la "oposición" y no cuando lo hace un ciudadano como yo y cientos de otros que estamos mas que listos para lo que venga?

Si, dicen, muy fácil estar allá y decir que salgan los demás a exponer sus vidas, y siempre contesto, "el que esté aquí no significa que mi vida no corra peligro, si quieren hacerme algo no tengo que estar allá al frente d una marcha/convocatoria/concentración, desde aquí es mucho mas fácil hacerme algo, o es que no se dan cuenta?... Allá estaría presa, sin voz, y eso jamas!

Llevo mas de 15 años luchando en contra de los rojos en Vzla (toda una vida criticando a los castro) desde que chavez era candidato, y luego mas de la mitad del país voto' por el después de que mato cientos de personas en el intento del golpe de estado hacia CAP, así es la cosa...

15 años en los que he puesto mi carrera en un 2do plano para dedicarme casi que las 24 horas del día en educar y combatir, a mi manera, el comunismo. Aunque no deje de seguir luchando, intentare' con todas mis fuerzas de poner de nuevo en 1er plano a mi carrera. Seguiré fuertemente ayudando a los animales, y cuando sea necesario, a Vzla. Cuba va por buen camino, sus guerreros están mas fuerte que nunca, eso caerá porque ya no aguantan mas y prefieren morir que seguir así, los venezolanos esperaran 50 y algo de años para hacer algo al respecto? Bueno allá Uds...

Sigan permitiendolo todo. Sigan pasando necesidades y acostumbrándose a ello, sigan viendo como adoctrinan, como matan a cada segundo, sigan bailando en las concentraciones y dándole tiempo al tiempo solo porque Henrique lo pide diciendo hay que tener paciencia... sigan pues...

Y me disculpan los caprilistas, no tenemos que enemistarnos por lo que pienso (mi madre dice esta enamorada d el) la democracia esta' en aceptar lo que los demás piensen, aunque todos queremos el mismo final, el camino no tiene que ser el mismo... Que pasen buen fin d semana.
